Writing a book involves not only your writing skills but a number of experiences that could be jotted down on a piece of paper. Appreciating the work that Authors do today we are giving the superhero Badge to Author Jasbir.
And Jasbir is sharing some of his experience with us. So let’s hear it from him!
1. Tell us about your recent book?
This is my debut novel which is an inspirational story of a family belongs to Kathmandu, Nepal. I have named it Forever: A Promise (More than a love story) not I heard it somewhere but because I strongly believe in these words. This story occurred twenty-seven years ago. We generally hear promises are meant for broken but this story will make you realize that promises are not meant for broken.
2.What is your background?
I belong to a middle class family of Jammu city. I did my schooling from Jammu city itself. Right now, I’m pursuing my graduation from Lovely Professional University and running international Ngo.
3.What motivated you to write this book?
When I was in school I participated in writing competitions and pleasantly won majority of them. It motivated me to write better and I was searching for real stories. As I love travelling so, I collected twelve stories and choose one and worked on it.
4.What are you currently working on?
Right now, I’m working on two stories and few scripts. Next novel will come by the beginning of 2018 which is based on social issues.
5. When did you start writing?
I started writing when I was twelve years old. It is a very long journey and I’m just enjoying it. Now, slowly and gradually it is becoming my profession.
6.Which writers inspire you the most?
Paulo Coelho inspires me most. His novels are well defined and show so many things. Especially, his novels show the true conditions of the society. Every time, he comes with a new message which inspires me every time to write better.
7.Any future projects you are working on?
Yes, I’m working on two projects. One is fiction story which inspires from real incidents and another one is non-fiction i.e. biography. Even, I’m also working on scripts. Now, it became my profession. So, I’m just focusing on it.
8.What are your hobbies?
I love cooking and travelling. On weekends, I generally cook food. I also write cooking recipes. And in vacations I prefer to go in rural areas and explore the things.
9. Is there any book you personally love and would recommend all the readers?
I haven’t read many books but yes I want to personally recommend “The Alchemist” and “Eleven Minutes” of Paulo Coelho to all readers. I personally very inspired by these two books. These two books show a true face of the society.
10. Any advice for budding writers.
I want to say one thing just write with your heart. Writing is not a difficult task but putting a story which directly touches the heart of the readers is challenging. So, always go with your heart. “You can also become the hope of someone just firstly find yourself.”
