Superhero Of Startup: Edward and Vidur- Nectorr

Startup aims to solve the problem that are yet unsolved. They work day and night and give all the efforts to their work. Considering all the work a founder  does there is not contradiction in saying that they are no less than superheroes. So today in our Superhero of startup series we have Edward and Vidur from Nectorr.
Let’s hear it from them.

1. Tell us something about you and your startup. 

We are  Nectorr is India’s first Robotic Process Automation (RPA) enterprise for Social Media. We use proprietary algorithms and complex technologies like AI, machine learning and neural networks to replicate the actions of a human being interacting with the social media platforms. Thereby easing up repetitive tasks of social media management.
Other than process automation it also creates knowledge based on social media data for automated decision making and creating tangible results. 


2. What was your motivation behind venturing into this?

 Social media is the best platform to reach out and engage users online. Like many others, we found the real task to be time-consuming, manpower intensive and the results were not up to our expectations. So we decided to change it for good.

3. Give us a brief background about founders and its core team members?

The founders are seasoned IT and software professionals with umpteen years of experience in delivering high end software to clients in the US, Europe and India. Nectorr is the brain child of Edward Varghese and a common passion for social media made Vidur Kohli jump on board to take the wheel.
Vidur Kohli is the CEO and co-founder of Nectorr. He is responsible for the company’s overall vision and strategy as well as day-to-day operations. is the CEO and co-founder of Nectorr. Prior to founding Nectorr, Vidur was part of the IBM India leadership team as the CTO for India and also spent several years as a senior leader with GE Capital in India.
Edward Varghese is the CTO and co-founder of nectorr. He crafted the idea of nectorr and is responsible company’s technology vision, strategy as well as day-to-day product enhancement and the product roadmap and branding. Edward has worked for brands such as GE and HCL and had a brief professional stint in the US.
 He has been a part of the startup world for close to 10 years now and continues to grow stronger by creating what he likes and assisting others as well.

4. Who do you see as competition and how is your startup different?

1. Our span reaches 10 social media from a single window. Text, images, videos, blogs we can put it out there in a click or two.
 2. We do both organic and inorganic social media (wing-to-wing)
 3. Stronger and comparative analytics.
 4. Sleek and  better processes.
 5. Single place for software licenses or consulting for brands and micro-brands who prefer to focusing on their key abilities than social media.

5. What are the revenues and margins like in your industry?

At the moment a 20% PAT (Profit After taxes) is what we are optimistic about. The overall industry is well in billions of USD and is here to stay for a long time.

6. What are your future plans?

With beta-customers and the present release is looking much more promising that its competitors such as, we have an array of releases lined up for the near future with some power packed features.
 On the business front, we intend to be fierce and aggressive in engaging brands and microbrands using ATL and TTL activities. Most of our branding and engagement activities shall be using our own tool. If all goes well as planned, we shall look at expanding to Europe and USA as well.

7. Any advice you want to give budding entrepreneurs.

No one becomes and entrepreneur to fail. Everyone wants success and success seems evasive. Budding entrepreneurs should be driven by the consumers and should adhere to the “5 Ps” which are crucial for success.


Passion: If you don’t have it, take a 9-5 job.”Tumse na ho payega!” 🙂
Patience: Keep in mind that the only one who does not make mistakes is GOD. The immortals, stumble, fall, get punched on the face and a lot more. Without patience you won’t loose PASSION, you shall strangulate and kill PASSION very soon.
Perseverance: Over 50% loose the taste in being an entrepreneur soon after the dip. The dip is when everything is headed south or downwards. No people, no money, no friends even the near and dear ones move a little away as you. Almost every one comes close to this. This is where you stick your hand out and say “I ain’t dead, still floating baby”. Here is where you gather the courage and ride the tide again.
Produce: This is what the consumer is dying to get. Steve Jobs did it, Mark Zuckerberg did it, so can you. This is what gets the moolah and this cannot be wrong.
Pride: This is something that shows others that you are proud about your team, customers, your work. Wear it everyday. This brings joy to within and outside the team.
